The Manchester Urbanathlon is a 5K race run at The City of Manchester Stadium and Phillips Park, this years race took place on 31st July 2011.

The race was a fantastic success and thanks to the six runners who entered to raise money for AJ we raised a very respectable £530 (possibly a bit more as there's still some more due in) 

All six runners ran great races and finishing in respectable times in spite of the fact that they were only given a couple of day notice.

Many thanks to Urbanathlon's John Dwan and Alan Massey for arranging ours entries at such short notice and for waiving all the fees completely! meaning every single penny that was raised went straight to AJs Appeal.  Also Urbanathlon have offered AJs Appeal free places at their up and coming races (hopefully there's going to be another one in November)
